Studio Ubuntu Install

#1 Install Server First

Row64 Studio runs connected to Row64 Server.

It’s better to install Row64 Server first, then install Studio and connect to it.

#2 Download Installer

This document provides instructions to install Row64 Studio on Ubuntu 24.04 or Ubuntu 25.04.

Download Row64 Studio V3.5 at:
https://app.row64.com/Downloads/

#3 Install Studio From Terminal

From the terminal, run:

sudo dpkg -i row64studio-3.5_amd64.deb

Pin The Row64 Icon To Favorites

Click the App button in Ubuntu:

Type “ByteStream", and right-click “Pin To Dock"


To run Studio, click on the Row64 button

#4 Start Up Row64 Studio

Studio starts by default when the installer finishes. If you ever need to manually open Studio, there is a shortcut installed on the desktop you can double-click.

Row64 starts with an empty Dashboard.

#5 Connect to a Dashboard Server

Connect to a Row64 Server by clicking LOGIN on the top right. Enter in the Server field:

  • Domain name or IP address

  • localhost (if your server is on the same PC / VM / Cloud Instance)


#6 Modify the Dashboard and Load Data

On the dashboard click the plus button to add new charts and dashboard elements.

If you want to start by loading data, flip over to the “Data” tab at the top and load some example Server Data.

#7 Browse Example Dashboards

In the Connect tab, click on the Browse button to see a list of available Dashboards.

Double-click on the Dashboard to open it.


There are many different types of example dashboards.


Hit the arrow button in the top right of any Geo or Diagram to get more selection options.
