Studio Windows Install
#1 Install Server First
Row64 Studio runs connected to Row64 Server.
It’s better to install Row64 Server first, then install Studio and connect to it.
#2 Download Installer
This document provides instructions to install Row64 Studio on Windows 10 or Windows 11.
Download Row64 Studio V3.5 at:
https://app.row64.com/Downloads/
#3 Run Installer
Row64 installs with a standard Windows Installer
Choosing an Install Location
By default, Row64 installs in the Program Files folder. If you are a standard (non-admin) user, you may need to change the install location.
Installing Outside of Program Files
Windows users that do not have admin privileges will not be able to install in the Program Files directory. You can install into any folder the user has permissions to install into.
If you’re not sure what folder to install in, you can create a Row64 user folder, if it doesn’t exist, at the following location:
C:\Users\USERNAME\Row64\
Then, install there.
#4 Start up Row64 Studio
Studio starts by default when the installer finishes. If not, there is a shortcut installed on the desktop you can double-click.
Row64 starts with an empty Dashboard.
#5 Connect to a Dashboard Server
Connect to a Row64 Server by clicking LOGIN on the top right. Enter in the Server field:
-
Domain name or IP address
-
localhost (if your server is on the same PC / VM / Cloud Instance)
#6 Modify the Dashboard and Load Data
On the dashboard click the plus button to add new charts and dashboard elements.
If you want to start by loading data, flip over to the “Data” tab at the top and load some example Server Data.
#7 Browse Example Dashboards
In the Connect tab, click on the Browse button to see a list of available Dashboards.
Double click on the Dashboard to open it.
There are many different types of example dashboards.
Hit the arrow button in the top right of any Geo or Diagram to get more selection options.
