Dashboard Training
Basic Usage
Connect to Server
Once you have Row64 Server and Studio installed, open Row64 Studio and connect to the Server in the Connect window:
Browse Example Dashboards
Next, click on the “Browse” button to look at example dashboards
Dashboard Hotkeys
- F4 - Interactive slider mode
- NOTE: We don’t recommend interactive sliders for dashboards being used by over 1000 people since it heavily interacts with the server
- Alt P - Change Selection for Points, Lines, and Shapes
- Space - Hold down space to select Points, Lines & Shapes
- Alt ~ - Remove all filters running on the dashboard
- Alt L - Adjust Geo Layers
- F8 - Frame Rate in bottom left
- F2 - Debug Mode. Click on charts to test their inputs. Hit G to see the evaluation graph.
Zoom & Pan
Zoom & Pan In Geography & Diagrams

R (Reset View) or F (Frame All) to set the zoom back to default
Zoom & Pan in Charts

Full Screen Or Resize A Pane
- Double Click on a pane to make it full screen
- To close Full Screen, either:
- Hit the X button on the top right
- Hit the Escape Key
- To full screen a dataframe, double click the top bar
- You can also drag the bar between panes to resize
Clicking Points
- To pull up the details on geo-coordinate, either:
- Double click the point
- <Ctrl> click the point
- Please note, to do this you need to be in Coord selection mode. Click Alt-P to switch the selection mode.
- Click the images on the pop up to inspect, and the back button on the photo viewer to go back
Selection Basics
You can select by either:

Clicking directly on shape, line, or coord

Drag a rectangle

Drag a circle
- Change your selection mode to by clicking Alt-P, or selecting the arrow box in the top left, and in the combo picking: Coord, Shape or Line
- Hold down the space key and drag to make a selection
Selection Lasso
Hit Alt-P or top left arrow button and set the Shape to Lasso
- Hold down the space bar and freeform drag to sketch out a shape.
- Hold down the space bar and lightly click points to select from straight lines.
- Selection tools apply to Picking: Coords, Shapes, and Lines

Hit Alt-P or top left arrow button and set the Shape to Lasso
- Hold down the space bar and freeform drag to sketch out a shape.
- Hold down the space bar and lightly click points to select from straight lines.

Studio Examples

Diagram Dashboards
The easiest way to make a diagram dashboard is to export your diagram as a series of layers from Adobe Illustrator.
We have an open source exporter here: https://github.com/Row64/Illustrator_GeoJson
To build the diagram, just make a Geo2D chart and drag in the layers.
Make sure you turn off “Mercator Projection” so it doesn’t use lon/lat coordinates.
